Abstract

This research examines one of the traditional medicines owned by the Javanese people in Gohor Lama village, Wampu sub-district, Langkat district. This traditional medicine is believed by the Javanese people there to be one of the medicines that can lower or neutralize rising blood sugar. Blubuk comes from Javanese which means small coconut buds, because this traditional medicine is made with small coconut buds, the medicine is called blubuk, but not all Javanese people in Gohor village have long known about this traditional medicine. only parents and some people know about this drug because they still use it today. This research aims to provide insight into knowledge regarding traditional blubuk medicine to neutralize diabetes, and is beneficial for the world of health, especially in the field of herbal medicine. The aim of this research is expected to be a source of knowledge for readers regarding the traditional treatment of diabetes using blubuk, because this traditional blubuk medicine can neutralize diabetes, and it is also hoped that this research will be useful in the world of health, especially for diabetes sufferers. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach using the interview method. In conducting research, researchers carry out observations, interviews and documentation in the form of photos and audio recordings to obtain information. In this case the researcher used interview techniques to obtain information from the informants interviewed. In the research entitled Traditional medicine blubuk in neutralizing diabetes from the perspective of Javanese people in Gohor Lama village, Wampu sub-district, Langkat district, this is one of the traditional medicines used by the Javanese people there to lower blood sugar which is rising for diabetes sufferers.Javanese people in the village of Gohor have long received this traditional medicine from their ancestors and have continued to pass it down from generation to generation until now, although fewer and fewer people use traditional medicine, blubuk, which means small coconut fruit, turns out to have good benefits if used to lower sugar levels. blood that rises according to the Javanese tribe there.
